The wonderful people at Aduna Baobar sent me some yummy samples to make goodies with. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be using their Super Powders in a couple of my everyday recipes.

Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder

Unlike other fruit, baobab dries naturally on the branch. We simply harvest, remove the seeds and sieve, to produce a delicious, nutrient-dense, raw wholefood powder that helps bring out your natural vibrancy. Aduna Moringa Superleaf Powder

Aduna Moringa Powder is a 100% organic, nutrient-dense wholefood made from the naturally dried leaf of the moringa ‘miracle’ tree.

Incredible Hulk Smoothie

Serves 2 People (Or 3 smaller portions)

Ingredients

Purple Shorts!

2 Medium Sized Bananas

150g Frozen Mixed Black/Red Berries

1 Medium Sized Carrot

30g Gluten-Free Oats (Gluten containing oats can be used)

1 Teaspoon of Chia Seeds

1 Teaspoon of Flaxseeds

10g Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder

25g  Peanut Butter

200ml Koko Dairy Free Milk Light (other milks can be used)

200ml Water

The Green Top!

40g Spinach

1 Large Pear

500ml Water

1 Teaspoon of Syrup (I used MyProtein Blueberry Syrup, but Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup also works really well)

Method

In a blender, blend all of the ‘Purple Shorts’ ingredients, until smooth but still thick, this needs to be heavier than the Green part, however still pourable & drinkable.

Once smoothied pour into your favourite glass.

Rinse out the blender & add all the ingredients for the Green Top, once blended this should be much waterier than the purple half. pour carefully on top of the purple smoothie, if done correctly it should sit on top on it.


Super Green Berry Smoothie

Serves 2 People (Or 3 smaller portions)

Ingredients

Super Green!

2 Medium Sized Bananas

30g Spinach

30g Kale

1 Medium Pear

1 Kiwi

30g Gluten-Free Oats (Gluten containing oats can be used)

1 Teaspoon of Chia Seeds

1 Teaspoon of Flaxseeds

25g  Peanut Butter

10g Aduna Baobab Superleaf Powder

200ml Koko Dairy Free Milk Light (other milks can be used)

60g Frozen Mixed Berries

60g Frozen Strawberries

1 Medium Sized Carrot

500ml Water

1 Teaspoon of Syrup (I used MyProtein Blueberry Syrup, but Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup also works really well)

Method

In a blender, blend all of the ‘Super Green’ ingredients, until smooth but still thick, this needs to be heavier than the Berry part, however still pourable & drinkable.

Messy Pink Porridge

Porridge

Serves 1

Ingredients

25g Pure Porridge Oats (Gluten Free)

3g Chia Seeds

5g Flaxseed

6 Frozen Strawberries

100 ml Koko Dairy Free Light Milk

Nut Butter

Banana

Mixed Seeds

Aduna Baobab Super Fruit Powder

Method

In a deep bowl combine Oats, Chia Seeds, Flaxseed, Frozen Strawberries & Koko Dairy Free Light Milk. Mix & put in the microwave for 2 minutes. Take out, stir, strawberries should go mushy, you may need to add a little water & then pop back in the microwave for 1 minute.

Add chopped banana & porridge to the serving bowl, put a teaspoon of your favourite nut butter (Mine was Planet Organic Hazelnut & Coconut Butter) on top of the porridge so it starts to

melt & sprinkle with seeds.


Pick me up Granola

Yog & Granola

Serves 1

Ingredients

100g Dairy Free Yogurt ( I used Koko Dairy Free Plain)

30g Granola (I used Natures Path)

One Chopped Banana

Aduna Baobab Super Fruit Powder

Method

In your serving bowl mix together half a teaspoon of Aduna Baobab Super Fruit Powder & the Dairy Free Yogurt.

Add Granola & Chopped Banana on top of the yogurt, sprinkle half a teaspoon of Aduna Baobab Super Fruit Powder on top.


Avocado Coleslaw

Serves 4 Side Dishes

Ingredients

2 Carrots,

100g Red Cabbage

150g white Cabbage

2 Tablespoons of Vegan Mayo (I used Follow Your Heart Veganaise)

1 Teaspoon Lime Juice

1 Avocado

20ml of Dairy Free Milk (I used Koko Dairy Free)

Salt & Pepper

10g Aduna Baobab Superleaf Powder

Method

Slice Carrot & Cabbages into thin strips & put in a salad/serving bowl.

Peal the Avocado & remove the stone

In a blender (I used my nutribullet) put in the Avocado, Vegan Mayo, Lime Juice & Dairy Free Milk. Blend until they are a thick paste, if you think it needs little more liquid, if it’s not blending, add a little more milk.

Spoon the Avocado mixture into the salad bowl & mix, making sure the Vegetables are covered.

Add the Aduna Baobab Superleaf Powder & Salt & Pepper to taste & stir again.
