Creative Nature!

There are so many different raw/nutty/fruity/health/protein bars on the market at the moment, but how do we know which ones are good. Some are dry, others are tasteless, too chewy, greasy. Plus some of them really aren’t cheap, paying £2.50 for a raw nutty protein bar that tastes like cardboard, isn’t my idea of a fun, healthy, vegan lifestyle.
A couple of months ago my Mom bought me 3 Creative Nature Superfoods bars, Raw Cacao, Goji Goodness & Ginger Teatox . She picked them up from the chemist next to her work & I had never heard anything about them before. I was intrigued by the names, I love ginger, so I was excited to try this, I like goji berries but had never had them in a bar before & of course everyone loves chocolate. I had them over a few days & I was really impressed. Not dry, nor greasy, tasty & technically free because my Mom bought them (£19.80 on their website for 20, which work out just under £1 each! or £1 if you want to get the singly on Ocado).
A few weeks ago Creative Nature contacted me on Instagram asking me if I would like to review some of their new bars. I told them I had already tried a few, but of course I’d be more than happy to shout out my opinions on some new flavours.
They sent me three bars to try! All high protein based, making them a little different from their other bars I had tried. Apple Pie, Cacao Orange & Salted Caramel. The most interesting flavour on first glance for me was Salted Caramel. I had seen Apple Pie & Chocolate Orange bars before, but I hadn’t tried a Caramel bar before, plus everyone likes salted caramel!
As I have not long switched to a high protein diet I was quite impressed with the amount of protein these bars contained & they didn’t contain loads of rubbishy ingredients. So already I was impressed. However I knew it would all be down to the taste & I was worried they might be a little bit dry!
Apple   Orange
I was totally wrong, all the flavours were really tasty. The were soft & chewy, with a little bit of crunch inside.
The Apple Pie didn’t taste of apple, it tasted of apple pie, which has annoyed me with other dessert bars in the passed, they taste like the fruit not the pudding! It was sweet & not overly apple flavoured, it was just right.
I am not always a fan of orange flavoured treats, it’s not my favourite flavour as most of my loyal reader know, however this didn’t taste artificial, it tasted like chocolate orange, it wouldn’t be my go to bar of choice, so I gave the second Cacao Orange bar to my boyfriend (who loves chocolate orange) & it was inhaled within seconds followed by ‘that’s really good, can we get more’ still with bits of it in his mouth… So a success.
Caramel
Finally my favourite flavour was the Salted Caramel, it was just so indulgent, I couldn’t quite get over the fact that it wasn’t a chocolate bar & I shouldn’t feel guilty for eating it. Ha! It was sweet & so very caramelly (not a word, I know!) a perfect flavour & one I will certainly be buying again & again!

  1. Thanks for sharing where to find them! I’d never heard of Creative Nature before, though had tried brands like Sunwarrior; they sound similar from your review. Love the idea of a caramel flavour, so I’m heading to order on Ocado!
