A Very Moo Free Christmas!

You all know how much I adore good chocolate. Moo Free Chocolates have been kind enough to send me so many of their goodies, so much so that when I was at The Allergy & Free From Show a couple of weeks ago I decided to buy lots of goodies, my favourites including two Advent Calendars, one for Bae & I (is it sad to buy your own Advent Calendar, I’m not sure?). I thought it would be a great way to start promoting a Cruelty Free Christmas, by sharing my review of this yummy Christmas treat.

The Organic Dairy Free Advent Calendar is very cute, it’s got the Moo Free gang on, Hammy & her Friends. A lot of Dairy Free Calendars I have seen are a little plain & boring, I think this is because they are aimed at people with an allergy to dairy, rather than a whole range of individuals choosing to avoid dairy products. That is why I love the Moo Free Advent Calendar, it’s just as fun, Christmasy & exciting as every other kids calendar on the shelf, however it’s much better because it’s cruelty free! And of course good old Santa Claus is on there too, having fun with the Moo Free crew.

Each dairy free and vegan advent calendar is filled with 100g of our quality dairy free chocolate. The fun packed, full size (A4) dairy free chocolate advent calendar box features several of the Moo Free animals and Santa enjoying a dairy free chocolate Christmas together at Santa’s tree house workshop. These yummy chocolate pieces are Gluten, Soya free also, as well as being no GM. So it’s an all round winner. The chocolate is made from rice, which is my favourite kind of ‘milk’ chocolate. It’s sweet, smooth & creamy. If you are a fan of the richer darker chocolate, than this might not be your cup of tea. However if you are like me & appreciate any good chocolate, no matter it’s colour, white, brown or black then you will love this. It’s great quality ‘milk’ chocolate! I would honestly be surprised if a dairy consumer would notice the difference. Moo Frees Dairy & cruelty free Advent Calendar even got a mention in The Metros Top Vegan Advent Calendars. This calendar is a great advent gift for anyone, or if you’re like me… Buy one for yourself!

Ingredients; Cocoa* [45%] (cocoa butter, cocoa mass), sugar* [35%], rice powder* [20%], emulsifier (sunflower lecithin) & natural flavouring. *Organic ingredients.

When I told Hammy I would be reviewing his Advent Calendar he also sent me a couple of more goodies. A Dairy Free Mint Chocolate Bar & Dairy Free Organic Banana Bar because she’s just really nice like that!

The mint bar is of course a great Christmas gift, people love mint chocolate treats after they have stuffed their face full of gravy covered goodness on Christmas Day! For me Moo Free Mint bar has to be one of my favourites because of the amazing texture. If has crunchy crystallised mint pieces in it. Meaning it’s great to eat, the rice milk & mint compliment each other really well, the mint has a wonderful flavour!

Ingredients; Cocoa* [42%] (cocoa butter, cocoa mass), sugar* [32%], rice powder* [19%], mint [7%] (sugar, ethically sourced palm oil, natural mint flavour), emulsifier (sunflower lecithin) & natural flavouring. *Organic ingredients. 93% of the agricultural ingredients are produced in accordance with the rules of organic production.

I have never tried this Banana Bar before & oh my, I’m in love. Firstly I love banana, but it’s not just banana flavoured it also has banana chips on it! Blows my mind how good this is! I’m not a huge fan of banana flavouring as I honestly think it can be overpowering & artificial, not enough & you can’t taste anything. Moo Free has hit the nail on the head with this one. A great natural banana flavour with yummy, crispy banana chips on top. Every banana lovers dream!

Ingredients; Cocoa* [40%] (cocoa butter, cocoa mass), sugar* [31%], rice powder* [18%], banana chips* [10%] (banana, coconut oil), emulsifier (sunflower lecithin) & natural flavouring. *Organic ingredients.

Overall I think Moo Free is a wonderful company that make great products. I am so happy that they continue to make amazing new products, including seasonal ranges. It keeps us Vegans happy to share the same experiences as others, in a cruelty free way. Keep up the great work Hammy!
