A little while back I decided I was fed up of using the same skincare, even though it’s wonderful & Vegan, I wanted to see what else was out there. That’s when I discovered White Rabbit Skincare.
Founder, Melanie, is deeply passionate about natural products, the environment and animal welfare. Motivated by these values Melanie set up White Rabbit to provide consumers with a natural, vegan choice when it came to their skincare, in the hope of promoting a healthier, greener way of life.
White Rabbit has a wonderful range of products, from beard oils, calming creams, renewal serums, lip balms, day & night creams. All vegan & cruelty free.
We make all our products exclusively by hand in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. Harnessing the therapeutic aspect of essential oils, base oils, butters and waxes, each of our products help to nourish and nurture your skin.
We never include animal-derived ingredients… and none of our products or the ingredients used in them are tested on animals – or ever will be. Many of our products are preservative free, but in those products containing water, we are legally required to use a preservative for safety. The two types of preservatives we do use are broad spectrum, highest grade products which are used in low concentrations, and we always consider natural preservatives – such as Vitamin E – where possible.
Not only does White Rabbit Skincare care about the good quality products they give us, veganism & cruelty free they are also environmentally friendly. We have sourced packaging that is fully recyclable (if not already recycled!) to minimise the impact on the environment. They also promote the buyer to recycle. If you send back the packaging you will get 50p of your next order!
Melanie was kind enough to send me 4 sample tubs, three Day Creams & one Cleansing Balm. When they arrived I couldn’t wait to get skin happy!
This day cream has a great cream but still light in consistency, this one is suited for mature skin & for less mature skin like mine has anti-aging solutions!
My little sample pot lasted my for 3 usages, I applied it to my slightly more wrinkled areas, around my eyes. It felt light & creamy when applied & my skin felt soft after.
#nofilter for true effect!
Out of the two day creams I prefer this one (even though the above was still great, just personal preference). This one has a fresh smell, & it a little lighter than the above. I have sensitive skin, so I am always careful with what I use. This day cream left my skin feeling soft & smooth all day, I also noticed it reduced the swelling I had around a spot (gross, I know sorry, but true!). This is one is a definitely winner for me!
Out of the three day creams I found this one the lightest in consistency & face feel. It is made for problematic skin, so I think this might be why. It much smoother & slightly oiler, however when it was on my skin, it felt fresh, almost like I hadn’t put anything on my skin at all. It didn’t feel heavy. The smell of coconut really came through on this one, which I love because I love coconut!
#nofilter for true effect! Sorry I look so grumpy, this is what I look like at 6.30am. Ha.
This one is another big winner for me. I used a little of this with my exfoliating pad (if you buy this normally it comes with one). I put this onto my skin, then rubbed it in/off with my pad & a little bit of warm water. Why I love this one so much, firstly I love the feel & smell of shea butter & this product is packed full of it! I hate face wash that has a strong smell, this one doesn’t. It smells clean & natural. My skin felt really fresh after use, which is what a cleanser is supposed to do!
Overall I really enjoyed trying these new products. The day creams cost £17.50 & the Cleansing Balm is £15.00, these might seem a little pricy. However that’s the price we pay for natural, good quality products. If you want something cheaper it’s unfortunately going to be filled with chemicals. White Rabbit Skincare is certainly going to be a brand I use more often (I’ll be picking mine up from VegFest this weekend). The products all have something in common, which is something I always look for in skincare products, they are natural, clean feeling, fresh & don’t smell strong or artificial. I’ll be picking up Comfort Cleansing Balm
as well as the a day cream, maybe Rosehip and Camellia Day Cream however I’m keen to try the others too.
The lovely Melanie from White Rabbit Skincare sent me sample pots of the above products.. I only write about companies & products I like & all the opinions are my own.
