Let’s play did you know;
Did you know Bryan Adams, Andree 3000, Woody Harrelson, Anne Hathaway, Samuel L. Jackson & Brad Pitt are all vegetarian or vegans. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vegans)
Did you know Zooey Deschanel, Gwenyth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus & Lady Gaga are all gluten-intolerant (http://www.glutenista.com/gluten-free-celebrity-list.html)
That was fun right?
I’m sure you’re all on tender hooks to hear if I slipped up last night in my drunken state of affairs. I didn’t! Well done Hana. There was many potential moment that I could have done. When I was in the bathroom – my friend almost ordered me a Pina Colada but remembered & changed it to a Pornstar Martini. Another friend bought me a beer – which I swapped with another friend for their vodka & lemonade. I also managed to stay away from any wheaty cheesey 3.30am snakes. Even though one of my friends tried to force pepperoni pizza in my face.
Mentioned above are just a few of the drinks I consumed last night so as you can imagine today I was hanging – not quite as bad as last weekend thankfully. So I stayed away from solids this morning & opted for 3 cups of black coffee until 4pm when I managed an apple. The apple actually helped get my appetite back. When I’m hungover I look forward to a dirty take-away – usually pizza. Well that was obviously not going to happen. However I had a backup plan, I had bought a Asda free-from pizza base, tofutti mozzarella & all my favourite toppings – everything was gluten-free & vegan of course. With polenta instead of fries & a side of salad to keep it healthy, it actually tasted alright. Like I have said in a previous post, the cheese doesn’t taste amazing & wouldn’t melt in the oven. I decided at the very end to grill it & guess what? The cheese actually melted & it tasted much better – it wasn’t stringy like normal mozzarella but I can’t complain too much. All you need to do is experiment. What is the worst that can happen – it might taste rank so just bin it & start again learning as you go.
For dessert, while watching Doctor Who, I enjoyed some Digestive Biscuits. I love biscuits, ginger biscuits are my favourite, but right now in the hungover state I’m in I can’t be picky. They are made by Glutafin & they are really good, so good I managed to scoff two of three more than what I should have really had.
Early to bed for me tonight, I need to catch up on the sleep I missed last night & I have a busy day tomorrow. At 10am, I am doing Bootcamp for a Cause (http://worcestergymalternative.co.uk/bootcamp-for-a-cause/) & I have baking & soup making to do. As long as I don’t kill myself off at Bootcamp I’ll let you know how these tasty homemade goodies turn out.
